Garlic Bread, a set on Flickr.
Garlic bread couldn’t be simpler to make at home, but hardly anyone does. I normally use ciabatta, but really you could use whatever you had knocking about.
a pinch of sea salt
butter
a clove or two of crushed garlic
one or two herbs of your choice, if the mood takes you - in this set, I used rosemary and lemon thyme but garlic alone is great.
Simply mash up the ingredients and spread on your bread, before baking for 12-15 minutes in a hot oven. If using ciabatta, go fairly easy on the butter because it will pool in the large air bubbles and you’ll have garlic butter running down your arm!
